Leno Selvedge & Binding: To prevent yarn slippage—a critical failure point in geogrids—the machine integrates a leno motion system. It employs a low-denier colored polyester yarn as a binding thread to lock the primary structure firmly in place.
Heavy-Duty Warp Management: The system supports a custom-built creel holding up to 3,500 ends, accommodating twisted or supplier yarn packages up to 12kg. The advanced tensioning system manages a wide denier range from 2,000 to 6,000 (warp) and 3,000 (weft), ensuring uniform tension across the massive 6-meter width.
Off-Loom Take-up: Recognizing that the fabric will undergo post-weaving coating (Bitumen, PVC, or Acrylic Resin), the ZBMax is equipped with an external big roll batching take-up device. This allows for larger roll diameters and easier integration with finishing lines.
Performance Benchmarking: Unlike standard looms, the ZBMax flexible rapier is engineered for high pick densities. For typical PET geogrid fabrics, the machine maintains a consistent speed of 150–260 picks per minute (PPM), offering a competitive alternative to established brands like Dornier and Itema.
